Tabs:
In your Query Tool, you will have 3 tabs for sure (Logs, Hard Disk, Computers), but there is an extra tab (Mobile) who will appear just in case you are using and saving the mobile devices reports from WipeDrive Mobile to the same database.
- Logs: Under this tab, you will see all the operations you ran with our different software’s (Detalys, WipeDrive, Hardware Info). There you can see few information, like the software you ran, when did you start the operation, if it was success or not, Hard Disk involved on this operation, Kernel of the software, the UUID and job UUID.
- Hard Disks: On this tab, you will be able to see information based in the drive. You will se the Vendor, Model, Serial number and size of the drives you already ran and are saved in your Database. From there the drive will be linked to the computer involved, when you ran the operation.
- Computers: You will see a list of computers where you already ran one of our software’s and the report was saved to the database. Similar with Hard Disk it will display the vendor, model, serial number, etc.
- Mobile: Under mobile, you will have the list of devices and information saved from WipeDrive Mobile to your database. You will see information like the computers but about the mobile devices you ran.
Operation List:
The operation list will display all the devices and operations you filtered or in case there is no filter it will list all of them. By default, it will show the last 10 logs, but you are able to change that and list more logs than that.
Operation Details:
The operation details will show all the information associated with the operation selected from the operation list. There you can get details about the hardware involved, details in case you ran tests, you can check the user’s fields if applicable, you will see the pattern, duration of the wipe, result, etc. From this place, you can check the disk information with the button “View Disk”.
Import logs:
There are some situations when you will not be able to save the information directly from WipeDrive to the database, for that reason we decided to add an option in our Query Tool to allow you to import logs to your database. During the import process, you will be able to validate the Security Code and make sure the log wasn’t modified.
In order to import the logs, you will need the XML report created by WipeDrive and select the files and import them. This process is very quick, and you can import files from different versions of WipeDrive that are supported by the schema of the database, for the same, we recommend you keep the schema up to date in order to don’t have compatibility issues.
You can import XML reports from old versions of WipeDrive to a new database schema, but you can’t import XML reports from new versions of WipeDrive to an old database schema.
Filter Options:
We know you will be accumulating logs and on time your database will become a large database with thousands or more logs, we provide filter options in order to provide the option to search for specific logs, based on serial numbers, model, vendors, dates, etc.
