After you have the bootable USB/CD ready with WipeDrive on it, you can proceed to follow the instructions below and make your machine boot into WipeDrive to wipe it.
In order to make your machine boot into WipeDrive, you will need to change the boot order. The boot order is the order of the devices on where the machine will look for an operating system to boot, in our case Linux with WipeDrive. To do this, please refer to the following instructions:
1) Completely power off the computer.
2) Insert the USB/CD and power on the computer.
3) Your computer will now boot up and you will see a quick prompt that tells you to press X key for “Boot Options” or “Startup Options” (exact verbiage varies from brand to brand). Quickly press the appropriate key to enter the Boot Menu.
Please Note: If the Windows/Apple logo appears, the computer has gone too far and will need to be restarted. If done correctly, a menu will open before Windows starts. For a list of common booting keys, please refer to the following:

4) You will want to change the menu settings by selecting to boot from the USB or CD. You can do this either under UEFI or Legacy, depending on your machine. UEFI is the recommended option if it is available.
5) The software will now load.
Please make sure the USB is bootable and is formatted to FAT32. For instructions on creating a bootable USB, please refer to the following:
